Today is World Water Day, an annual celebration started as part of a United Nations campaign to raise awareness about water scarcity and safety issues around the world. For most of us reading and sharing this post, water safety brings to mind lifejackets and sail boats. However, the ongoing Flint water crisis is a powerful reminder that water safety is a basic human right, no matter where you live, and is a fragile resource that must be protected.
With so many great organizations providing access to clean water to people all over the world, the only step is to find one that resonates with you and provide support. Donations, cash or time, big or small, will ensure our global community has easy access to safe water.
